Don’t buy vehicles site unseen without test driving. Bought a truck through these guys from the Degroote-Hill Chevrolet dealership and have had the truck to the dealership 4 times for the same issue. Issue started immediately after delivery and notified AutoIQ the following day. Promises made of rectifying the issue as to not return the truck within the first 7 days. Now 3 months have passed and still dealing with the exact same issue and the dealership mentioned above is no longer willing to proceed any further to correct the problem. They indicate online that you will receive an inspection report card from 172 point inspection on the vehicle. That did not happen. This vehicle has a transmission shudder. It was taken to another GM dealership to do a transmission flush. I asked the tech to provide me a sample of the transmission fluid pulled from the truck (which I still have) and it was black and burnt up. They advertised that the truck was bought and serviced entirely at Degroote-Hill and you can tell the transmission had never been serviced and the truck has 150k on it. At that rate it should of been changed at minimum 3 times according to the manual. I asked Degroote Hill to provide me with the services on the transmission twice and they never did. I did purchase an extended warranty but it Max’s out at $3000 per repair so if the transmission grenades, I’ll be on the hook for another 3-4K. Basically it’s my time bomb now that I’m on the hook for. Never ever buy a used vehicle without test driving it first even if you’ve test driven the same exact vehicle from another dealership. Very disappointing to say the least.
Beware of Overpricing – Do Your Research! I’ve been dealing with IQ Auto for years and always believed they were a trustworthy dealership. However, my recent experience completely changed my opinion. I was interested in a particular vehicle, and they sourced it for me. Before finalizing the deal, I decided to run a VIN search—only to discover that another dealer had this vehicle for $4,000 less than what IQ Auto was trying to charge me. I was shocked and disappointed. I had always assumed they were fair with their pricing, but this proved otherwise. Had I not done my research, I would have been severely overcharged. This is not how a dealership should treat its loyal customers. If you’re considering buying from IQ Auto, I strongly urge you to do your homework before committing to any deal. This experience has completely changed my perception of them, and I can no longer recommend them in good faith. Transparency and honesty should be the foundation of any dealership, and unfortunately, IQ Auto has lost my trust.
I would definitely say that we love our Jeep and as we don't regret the purchase, but we really wish that we took it to our mechanic to look at it. Within the first month, even before our first payment came out, all brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. This was going to be $1600 job. We reached out and they told us to bring take it to the Ford Dealership in Waterloo. They "serviced" the front brakes, which had to be replaced, and "shaved" the rotator, which should have also been replaced. We even mentioned the brakes BEFORE we bought the car, it was pushed aside. That lasted 6 months before a full change had to be done. Then within 2 months, all the paint on the frame started to peel. Which will cost us another $2000 to get stripped and painted. Whoever had it before us, or perhaps the dealership themselves, painted the trim which it was done poorly. Our oil was so dirty, it had to have missed at least 2 oil changes previous to our purchase. There is also spray form under the fender, which means it WAS in an accident and it wasn't on the car fax, but anyone who passed any safety check, should have seen it. I understand that value of not having to shop around and have to drive each and every vehicle. But I think there is a lot of value in doing that to make sure you don't get caught with having to fork out even more money than anticipated. The guy who helped us at AutoIQ was amazing. I just think the dealerships they work with might not be the best.
I had a challenging experience with AutoIQ. I purchased my vehicle in June 2023, and within six months, it has been in service twice. The second time, warranty issues arose due to a representative's typing error in the documents. Despite numerous attempts to contact them, I haven't received helpful responses. This situation is affecting me significantly as the vehicle is crucial for transporting my family to various commitments.
My mother tried buying a car off AutoIQ...DON'T DO IT, they are very pushy, and when my mother told Shawn she wasn't interested he began threatening her saying the car would be impounded and she would have to pay all fees. Not to mention they showed up 3 hours late. The vehicle had damage that was not mentioned until the day of the showing. The police told me this is most likely a Scam. The police honestly laughed at the fact that Shawn told my mother the vehicle would be impounded. Trust me your much better going to the dealership then dealing with AutoIQ. If your elderly they will try and take advantage of you.
Avery made my experience of purchasing my SUV an easy and stress free time. He was very kind and helpful with no pressure. Explained everything down to the finest detail. I highly recommend Avery at AutoIQ for your buying needs. I look forward to purchasing my next vehicle from him.
I’ve dealt with Avery on a past purchase through Autoiq and again when I had to trade in and get another vehicle with Autoiq. Just like my previous review 5 stars Avery went above and beyond to get me the vehicle I wanted and was fast to get it licensed and ready for pick up ! Would recommend Avery to anyone looking to get into a new vehicle fast ! Always a pleasure dealing with Avery
