This salon is a joke. I went for a touch-up and twice not once they ran out of hot water. What hairdresser runs out of hot water. I had to wait until they boiled water to finish washing my hair, what a nightmare. They do not know how to style hair they are only good for weaves and extensions. That is all they can do. They are not a full all around beauty salon. Too bad because Barrie needs a real Black beauty salon real bad.Donna

Traumatizing experience. I paid almost $250.00 for the ugliest experience of my life. The owner did my hair the day before my birthday, she didnt have the hair I originally wanted so she chose a different hair type for me, she acted all nice to me in the beginning and as soon as I sat in her chair she automatically became evil. I specifically told her I didnt want hair that shirivvelled up in the sun at the ends and after she finished my hair I brought it up to her again and she told me well thats what you get when you buy cheap hair she forced me to pay for product that I specifically told her I didnt want in my hair and she used it in my hair against my will, and me being a nice person didnt want to hurt her feelings by telling her another time. She ran out of the hair colour I wanted and tried to use a different colour hair that didnt match my natural hair colour and she didnt even ask me before secretly trying to braid it into my hair. I spent 10 hours in her chair in excruciating pain having her unnecessarily pulling my hair too tight, I felt like I was going to vomit and pass out, I cried in the chair because I felt so uncomfortable and Im too nice of a person to be cruel to her in return so I let her do it and I felt bad because she already started. She didnt ask me what I wanted to watch on the television but selfishly put on a weird African show that I was not familiar with at all. I ended up paying her $250.00 after seeing my hair in the mirror and not liking it at all, it looked so phoney I hated it. I cut it all out once I got home. And the day before my birthday too. She was so nice to me in the beginning saying how she would give me a deal because she liked me and then ended up charging me $100 more than I expected. The atmosphere is so dark and scary there, the only reason I went there was because I wanted braids for my birthday and this shop was the only one close by that did braids. I believe she should be shut down, she is not a genuine person at all and she traumatized me for money, I would never do this to anybody and I pray she isnt ever able to do this to another person and she is shut down.

I give 1 star due to a few things. First I always get remy hair and don't know much about anything else . I've been feeling low latley and decided to treat myself and actually have some hair weaved in so it had more of a natural look and wasn't getting destroyed buy glue in. Another girl got a full weave and it looked amazing. So when it was my turn she asked if I wanted that when she told me how much it would cost I said no I can't afford that much so she gave me a deal and said it was between me an her . When she started doing my hair she started doing tracks. Okay whatever my bad I didn't say anything cause I thought maybe I misunderstood. But when picking out the hair I told her I need 100 percent human. She talked me into a black to red because of summer it would be fun. I asked her is it 100 percent and she said yes. While she was doing it I could feel my hair riping cause it was dry and she said not to put product in before she didn't it she said she would put it in after. ?? Odd okay. She rang in my total and I was now in a rush out cause it took longer then i thought. So I didn't realize till after I left she over charged me by 50 dollars. I called and she said she would bring my money home with her or stop by my house since we live close. Awesome. So I came home curled my hair all excited to play with it and what happens???? IT'S FRIED???? UHMMMM WHAT?? So I told her this and she comes to my house first thing in the mornig to see it. She kept asking what I did to it like it was my fault. First off I have a cheap Wal-Mart curling rod. Second of all if it's real hair it doesn't matter what I did. It would not melt in some spots. She tells me not to touch it over the weekend and see what it does. And even agreed with me synthetic hair does this not real hair but she kept saying it is real so it's weird and again kept asking what I did to it . Grrrr. So hoping for some magic reason it would unscrew itself over the weekend I didn't touch it. Even though I look like I went to party city and bought a wig. Then she said she would be back Monday. I waited all monday for her and then At 7 pm Monday I msged her and she basically gave me attitude thinking I was attacking her. When I was only telling her lots of people have said and agree it's synthiec. Then she tried to send me a photo of the tags since she still had them. which were not coming threw. So I sent a msg over Facebook and started speaking with another women. She agreed to see me on the Friday so now I'm still walking around for over a week with horrible hair . I msged her to make sure she was going to be there when I was able to come as i didnt want to bus all the way there if she wasn't going to be there. I now don't want to deal with the first lady. and then msg was seen never replied to. I then msged her again explaining how I felt and how this was completely unfair. Again seen no reply. I have text msges and Facebook all screen captured and I will be calling better business bureau. I spoke to someone regarding my hair and it says 100 percent human hair this is why things really confused me. However it's not hair made for my kind of hair. It's hair made for girls with more course hair. Yaki hair is meant to mimic black girl hair. So once washed or whatever it puffs out to give a natural look to them. It also has a blend of synthiec which is why my hair melted a bit. I did mention my findings to them in text but that was a msg that was seen and not replied to. They should know this seeing as they sell the hair and seeing as she backed up the product so much she made me feel like it was my fault. I feel very taken for , sad and angry. Never do I spend this kind of money on myself . And anytime I do spend even a small amount I feel guilty as I am a mother. But I really needed a confidence boost and now I feels worse every time I look in the mirror I want to cry. My weave is already loosened as well. So I'll be removing it myself. The weave was done june 20th it's now July 1st. I didn't pay $250 to wear my hair in a bun. :(

Great woman working here! They have a lot of products!

It took a long time, but well worth it, very comfortable environment, first time with braids for me and I'm very pleased with it... I will definitely be a returning customer.
