Bought a used Ranger bass boat with a 150 Mercury Optimax and visited Rick at one17marine and it was an awesome experience. I'm a new boater, so take my review with a grain of salt. I've really appreciated the time and effort that's been given to me, as well as the patience and consideration. I feel like I've won the marine mechanic lottery!
I dropped my boat off aug 27th and had service pre booked from Aug 10th. The eta was pickup sept 14-16th. The service was for a G3 scan of my engine, possibly fix of the small oil leak and to have fault 1105-6. I even had the part number for Rick to order. He has serviced my boat before and was top notch. This time I got wish washy answers. From aug 27-sept 9 no contact. I sent a quick email asking how long the eta was. No response. Sept 16 I followed up and was told it would be looked at before sept 20 and finished. Sept 22 roles around and no follow up or anything. I called and was told my boat was looked at, g3 was ran and they would look at it later for next steps. I provided all the fault codes (I have VesselView) and asked to get a copy of the report. I arrived to pickup my boat and was told no faults were found on the report and was not charged. My engine hours were at 210.7 and the engine was not turned on in the 4 weeks it was there as it was the same. I was quoted 2.5 weeks for service max and ready by sept 16. They did not even look at my boat. Rick is not trustworthy as on the phone I was told it's being looked at. Thanks Rick and team for the free storage for 4 weeks of free storage at least.
This was the first year we used their winter boat storage and now we will never go anywhere else. Rick and staff went out of their way for us when we asked for work to be done on our boat before we picked it up for the summer season.
