I have been taking private lessons with Amanda, which I highly recommend. She is very knowledgable and patient when working with me through my multiple injuries and physical limitations. Over the past 6 months I have increased my mobility without re-injury. As a result my quality of life and happiness has increased. I can't thank Amanda and the Club Pilates team enough.
I've been doing Pilates now at Club Pilates in Barrie for about 2.5 months, and have done about 35 classes in that time. Its a great gym, and Im happy to finally have found something closer to home without having to drive into the city for regular workouts.
I’m writing this with deep disappointment and frustration after being denied entry to my class yesterday for being just 7 minutes late. (they have a 5 minute late policy, I was 2 minutes late than their policy) it was a matter of just 2 minutes. I have been a committed member for the past two months, consistently attending my sessions, and this was the first time I happened to be late — by mere minutes. I am a mother to a 12-month-old child, I have one car in the family, and my husband commutes to Downtown. Every day is a carefully orchestrated balance of logistics, planning, and effort just so I can carve out this one hour for myself — to care for my body, my mind, and my well-being. Despite all the challenges, I make it a point to show up. And today, after managing everything and making it just 2 minutes late, I was told I couldn’t join the class. Do you realize how discouraging that is? What exactly would have gone wrong if you had allowed one regular, committed member — just this once — to join in, especially when she’s clearly making every effort possible to be there? Rules are important, yes. But so is humanity, empathy, and understanding. Today, your studio failed to show that. I wasn’t someone walking in late every day or making a habit of it. I was a mother doing her best. And that effort deserved a little grace — not rejection at the door. I sincerely hope you reflect on the way situations like this are handled. One moment of kindness could’ve made all the difference today. Instead, I walked away feeling embarrassed, unseen, and utterly discouraged. Thank you Jonah and Kareen, for making me feel discouraged and unheard. — A very disappointed member.
Best Pilates club in Barrie! The instructors are patient and absolutely amazing … the workouts are so effective! I have had great progress, working towards my 100 class badge. I was hesitant to try Pilates and so glad I did! Literally changed my life.
Wonderful studio, very friendly environment, especially for beginners. The instructors are really knowledgeable about the body and pilates exercises. Love it!
I've had the pleasure of attending classes at club Pilates for the past 8 months, I can feel the changes in my body and in my confidence! The instructors are super fun and helpful, I also love that they offer a diverse range of class times, it allows me time in my busy schedule to exercise. I cant see any reason why you shouldn't join!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I am excited for every class. The staff and teachers are beyond welcoming always saying ‘Hi’ and taking the time get to know you. It is truly judgement free and everyone is so encouraging. Each class is such a great workout. You leave feeling so accomplished and happy. ❤️ I highly recommend you try it out. You won’t regret it!!!
