I met with Karen this morning, the Director of the Food Bank, to provide a donation on behalf of my company and my team. Karen went above and beyond—she took the time to give us a tour of the facility and clearly explained the needs of the community and the resources people rely on. She also shared how our donation will be put to good use. This organization is truly amazing, and the volunteers who support it are exceptional humans doing incredibly important work.

When ya get stuck I am very grateful to have this Team in my corner! Quick, simple, professional, quality service, from a team that actually cares! Thank you for service in this town.

Barrie Food Bank is an essential and compassionate resource for the community. The staff and volunteers are incredibly kind, respectful, and organized, treating everyone with dignity and care. The process is efficient, and they offer a good variety of food and basic necessities to those in need. It’s clear that they truly care about the well-being of the people they serve. If you’re looking to support a meaningful cause in Barrie, this is definitely a place worth donating to or volunteering at. A true example of community support in action.

Wow. I am extremely impressed by the speed of which the process went. Even with a full building everything moved along smoothly and was super accessible. The staff is beyond friendly which is a breath of fresh air. And they just overall are willing to help out and make the process easy and almost completely stress free. Thank you again for your kindness and willingness to help. God bless you all!

First time there with my girls in almost 3 years and we are not impressed-but appreciative. For a family of 4, you get very small pickings-how does 4 cans last a month, along with 6 potatoes, 4 carrots, 2 apples, 4 choices of a pack of rice/pasta/sauce/canned tomatoes(only 4 for a month lol) 3 loaves of bread, a small whole chicken, a small block of cheese, eggs, milk, a pie and cupcakes. No flour/sugar.The most that you can choose for 4 people is 4 tampons or pads. I roll of toilet paper per family. When added up, it doesn't outweigh the cost of gas/cab/taxi. Male workers are great, females in the back are rude when asked anything. Woman doing interview is great. We used to get 2 carts full, we got a half a cart, so disappointing, but grateful as well. It wouldn't be the 1st time I do without for my kids to eat. Is it the new management? Because we know what food banks receive in donations and in monetary donations-the news is great for that, thankfully. As well as monetary card donations and grocery card donations. Why are the people not getting these cards? The amount disability recipients receive according to our rent, we should get more help, for the kids at least.

It’s getting a bit better but still need to work on a lot of things here for sure the wait times lines and having people standing in the cold with children, turning purple, you don’t end up with much and they are very picky about what you can have and won’t give out any extras whatsoever not even providing proper diet needs although they will ask and put it on your file. It won’t matter if you need it or if it’s on your file that you’re hypoglycaemic they will still take any sugar snacks you might want if you’re over 18, not a student, or a parent with children under the age of 18. It’s lovely asking for some juice to be given 1 juice box out of a pack of 6 .. yes they opened a pack of 6 juice boxes and gave me 1 when I mentioned I needed sugar of any kind even some juice.. it was a joke when I was looking at over 200 juice packs ..

I can't believe I was able to get lots of food stuff, the staff were kind and lovely. With all the supply I got, even when I had nothing, it made me dream big .I pray the Lord bless me so I can give back to the community someday.. It was the kindess gesture ever
