Welcoming environment. The team is great, knowledgeable and full of laugher. I can't say enough great things about this place but compared to other card shops this is home.
Good store, but they are kicking people out of their Discord for not using their real names. Very odd behavior, the Discord has always been more strict than needed (They get super annoyed when you post card talk in general channel, etc). Not sure why they are shooting themselves in the foot a bit. I spent thousands of dollars at this store and mostly used the Discord to see what's in stock, when new drops are coming. No problem, I will go back to exclusively shopping at 401games.
Great gaming community. Different, more inviting vibe than other places. People are there for fun, know their stuff, and not try hardy minmaxers. Great for newbies and experienced players alike. Good selection of play&collectibles cards. Online stock is accurate. Downside: pricing a bit steep & non negotiable.
As a previous patron has noticed, the hygiene of staff and customers leaves something to be desired. Adults playing children’s games tend to be a little too focused on their imaginary lives and not what is happening in the real world.
I genuinely love this place and I visit from time to time as it’s one of the only good card spots in Barrie, but wow. It’s gotten to a point where the stench of the place makes me ill. The employees are incredibly kind just as much as they are incredibly unsanitary. Sometime we need a little glade or some incense, just please do something.
I'd give this place 10/5 if Google would let me. Seriously all, Gamer's Lair is amazing. Such wonderful friendly, funny and helpful staff. Great prices and a large selection! Lots of tables to play on, with play mats (clean even!) There's snacks, drinks, tournaments.... Really. If you're into TCGs. This is the place!
Placed an order for Yugioh cards online and it came very quickly. The cards came in the condition I was expecting. Very impressed by the service and I will continue my patronage here.
