I frequently visit this restaurant and I can say it’s the best food in town . Today I ordered for my team members at work for our Christmas lunch and everyone really enjoyed the food . They all said that they will definitely make this one of there go to spot for food . The owner and his son is very pleasant and friendly and treats his customers very well . I definitely recommend this place for Japanese ok/ Chinese food .
The food was fresh, tasty, and clearly made with care. The staff were friendly and provided quick service, which made the experience even better. I’d definitely recommend this place and will happily come back again!
I don’t typically give out 5 stars however this spot was absolutely phenomenal. Food is made hot and fresh as I personally saw bro in the back saucing up the noodles in some really cool Chinese looking pan and put it straight into my container. The flavours from the beef i got along with the noodles was so yummy. Price is really fair too which is nice. This spot healed my body from my camping trip. 9/10!
Today, I decided to check out a restaurant that was recommended to me by someone from Barrie (I’m from Newmarket). Since I was in the area, I thought I’d give it a shot – and I’m so glad I did! It did not disappoint. My mom and I both ordered the lunch special, and it was a solid 10/10. The chef was super friendly, and you could tell he puts a lot of love into every dish. He even came over to ask how everything was. The only downside is that they have just one table, but honestly, the food more than made up for it. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you
Run by a super chill father and son duo who seriously know how to cook. Everything’s fresh, fast, and full of flavor. You can tell they care about the food and it shows. Best spot in Barrie for a quick, delicious meal.
First time I ordered from here, I had to throw out the steamed rice because it was extremely dry. This was not a big deal, and they offered to give us some complementary free items for our next visit to make up for our poor experience. I come back in the store again, and the cashier is hiding under the front desk for about 10 minutes as I am standing in front of the counter on his phone and waiting for him to acknowledge my presence. They give me my food, and all seemed well, until my mom tells me that there was a shell inside her food. When she confronts the employees about this issue (which could have cost her her life if she wasn’t careful), they told her that if she doesn’t like the food, she shouldn’t come back here. This is not the proper way to treat your customers, and we will not be back here again.
I ordered Sesame Chicken with Steam Rice and Cantonese Chow Mein with Beef with Uber Eats. They had a buy 1 get one free special. The Sesame Chicken was good. There was a few pieces of batter with no chicken inside but still yummy. Paired very well with the steam rice. However things took a turn for the worst with the Cantonese Chow Mein with Beef. The vegetables were still kind of hard. The beef smells sort of weird, hard to explain. Either low quality beef or some old ingredients. It has that "is this safe to eat?" kind of taste and smell. The worst part was the noodles are somehow burn't and dry. Some of the noodles are cooked but all you can smell is the burn't noodle. I don't know how that even happens. I'd assume the order was rushed because of Uber Eats but im disappointed with how the Cantonese Chow Mein with Beef turned out. I'm sorry to say but i won't be going to Bento Wok Expess over other alternative resturaunts. I live close by and the food was still very hot when it had arrived which made the chicken and rice very enjoyable.
