Unfortunately I won’t ever be coming to this store again. They do not honour their store hours, which are 10-4 Monday - Saturday. Twice now I’ve come down, paid for parking, and found they’ve closed early. It’s just not a great way to run a business. Which is such a shame because I used to love coming here to buy second hand books.
A coworker introduced me to this shop. It quickly became a favourite and a stop almost weekly on our walks during our lunch break. Love that there is always something new to find/discover and prices are reasonable!
Honestly I love this stores offerings and purchase frequently from it, however I must say that I have never had a positive customer service experience. The entire staff to me present a complete opposite nature to the positive wonders they’re surrounded by. When questions are asked they seem to act as if you’re annoying them, and my gosh- they never smile! Very dense energy, will never be warm or welcoming to you. Never say hello upon entering. If there was a similar store in downtown Barrie, then I would choose to shop there over this one in a heartbeat, simply due to the lack of customer care and weird vibes at bell book and candle.
Such an easy and pleasant shopping experience. No pressure tactics at all yet when you need assistance you have their full attention. Prices are so much cheaper than similar specialty stores. Glad to say we will be loyal customers for the foreseeable future!
Really nice shop lots to look at and could spend hours in there! The person who answered our questions was very helpful and nice. 10/10 will shop here again !!
Lovely little shop, large selection of used books at great prices, large selection of crystals, incense and other spiritual necessities. I make sure to stop by everytime I pass through the area
I absolutely love Bell Book and Candle - one of my favourite shops downtown Barrie for sure! The staff are always so incredibly kind and personable. I can never just browse as I'm always leaving with new crystals and candles as gifts or for myself.
