I've been coming gbhere for years and love the employees but today I experienced the nightmare of a manager they have called Greg who aggressively yells at his employees over very small things this is the second time I experience this individuals was kinda scary tone used i can see why they fly through employees will be mentioning to head office
A couple of years ago this company was changing the filter behind my glove box and managed to break my glove box but never mentioned anything to us and wouldn’t not admit to being the ones that broke it. Fast forward a few years to now, we decided to give them another chance and what a big regret that turned out to be. This time, they broke the airflow line to my boyfriend’s breaks, making him lose control over his breaks while driving. NEVER AGAIN will we trust these people.

I went for an oil change today March 17th around 5pm; and the only lady that was working was extremely rude. I’ve been coming to Great Canadian Oil for the past 3 years (different locations, specially Orillia since their service is always great). I recently bought a new car and as I soon as I approached the lady told me about the new price for this new car which I accepted. She was rude from the moment she started asking for my information, she even corrected me when I spelled my own name because she heard incorrectly. I asked her to email me the receipt and she again was rude to say she didn’t have my email, which I thought they would have my information after I gave her my phone number, since Ive been doing my services there for the past 3 years. She rudely said that she had already told me she did that have it and I said I thought they would have all my info after giving her my name or phone number. She said it’s based on your plate number which I didn’t know because I AM A CUSTOMER. I have no idea how their system works. But she is very rude so be careful when asking her questions because she will make you feel like a d… person. The rest of the crew who were men were extremely nice and fast. But def not coming back to this location.
Just called to get a quote on my car when i was greeted with a lady who was very rude. When i asked about the services i needed which were oil change , transmission fluid drain and fill as well as my coolant. She goes “We don’t do drain and fills of coolant we only do top ups here. so we can top it up for you” That’s where she just ends her sentence. I go “okay… what about the other stuff” as i did ask about 3 services not just one. She then goes on and says she will be a second to search up the prices for me. The way she’s saying it is if i’m rushing her? when she did not mention she was looking into it. From there she asks me about my transmission fluid and if it has a dipstick, at first i did not hear her as it was muffled (she must’ve moved her hand by the phone as she was speaking cause i heard the beginning and then nothing). i ask her to repeat herself and she then speaks to me like a child and talks slowly like i don’t know english. I’m mad at this point as well as im confused because ive only ever seen a dipstick with my transmission to check it so i say “ im not sure but im pretty sure as ive had people check it and i just looked at it the other day to see if it had oil. “ She cuts me off and then explains to me where i can find it and where it would be. I tell her yes it is there. She goes “Ma’am im just trying to help you so we know” or something stupid idk. like im being hostile or something when i already answered her question by saying i just looked at it and had no idea of any other type of way oil is kept. mind you i have a 2018 so if this is a newer car thing i think all you need to ask if the year of the car and kind of go from there l. i’ve never been asked that question before so yes i was confused when i answered but it was a weird question as i’ve gotten other quotes and they don’t ask me that… I think as a company you need to get people who have a better understanding of how to speak to people, as well as cars. i’m not sure why she works there speaking to people like that and hope she realizes how hostile she is speaking to people like that.
Very good quick service, they do a lot more than other places without charging you and they don't fish for unneeded repairs/flushes like some shops do. Prices are also very good, team is very good! My go to spot in Barrie.
Great guys. Good service but I feel I over paid. Got charged $19 extra for oil filter that cost 9bux. Not returning. $181.87 for an oil change is too much.
