I took my Cairn Terrier puppy to Shaggy Doos for his first hand-stripping treatment, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! It was difficult to find a place that offers this service, but they did an incredible job. The groomer was professional, friendly, and extremely skilled, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. My puppy looked amazing afterward, smelled so good, and, most importantly, he was comfortable and happy. The price was great, and the care and attention they provided were outstanding. I highly recommend Shaggy Doos to anyone looking for top-quality grooming! :)
We take our little dog, Ollie bear there and they’re absolutely amazing with him. They’re so patient and so kind and so caring and he always comes home. Looking great and smelling great and very happy. I highly recommend this place.
We recently took our mini golden doodle on a camping trip to Algonquin Park, and let’s just say she had the time of her life. Swimming, rolling around, and generally having a blast left her with matted hair everywhere—especially around the bum—and a smell that could rival a skunk’s. Our poor puppy had never been groomed before, so we knew we were in for a challenge. On our way back to Toronto, we called every groomer we could think of. It was a holiday Monday, and we were desperate. Luckily, we found this gem in Barrie willing to take us in. I have to admit, the initial hesitation from the groomers about tackling our matted mess of a pup was pretty funny. They were clearly wondering what they’d gotten themselves into! We dropped her off, and about 15 minutes later, we got the dreaded call: “I’m so sorry, but we’re going to have to increase the rate because your dog is really matted.” I wasn’t surprised in the least. We live in Toronto, and I was already bracing for the price hike. Still, I thought the final price was a steal considering the state she was in. Four hours later, we came back to pick her up, expecting her to be shaved down to the skin. To our delight, she had a beautiful cut, and they managed to leave a lot of her fur intact. She looked absolutely adorable! The groomer gave me a knowing look and asked, “Has she ever been groomed before?” When I said no, she just nodded with a look that said, “Yep, I figured.” The whole experience was just hilarious and wonderful. They handled our pup with such care, and the result was better than we could have hoped for. Plus, she came back smelling heavenly—so good, in fact, that I joked about wanting to use her as my own personal scent! We’ll definitely be returning. Huge thanks to the amazing team for turning our camping catastrophe into a five-star grooming miracle! Highly recommend!
Best dog grooming in town! They showed extreme empathy for both a dog and his disabled owner. Not to mention the grooming job they did which was highly challenging. I would highly recommend them.
What a great groomer! Best cut yet, my dog is 13 and he handled him with great care as my dog can be nippy. Highly recommend his service, and I will definitely be visiting again! Thank you! ?
I took my cockapoo here, very very disappointed with the hair cut. He just cut it as per his likes, didn’t like it! Never going to take him back there. I am not sure who will ever shave the entire face for a male dog, even the moustache.
