I’ve been to this store many times. Just looking around. On 1 visit I bought computer $100.00. Acre Chromebook. Been over year since I bought it. Still works like new. Plus I bought a really nice chain there. $300.00. I think great deals. I always wear the chain. You can tell not cheap quality. I’ll be heading there on November 3 or 4. I’m looking for a nice men’s gold chain. I know what my budget is. I hope they have some in stock.
Took some items to the hock shop on Bayfield st. And when I went in the following month to layover my items. I paid the interest rate and got my receipt and again, the following the following month. I went back and noticed my guitar amp was not listed on the receipt. I asked why wasn't the guitar amp listed on my receipt. The guy told me it was an error and I should of checked the receipt before I left. I asked where is my guitar amp now and he said it was sold four days ago. I think they purposely did that, so they could sell my amp. They were not willing to compensate me for their error. Then I asked to get my camera out, along with some other items, paid for it. And when the guy brought out the camera and . I asked where is the zoom lens that was in a black bag that was included with the camera, the guy looked for it and said there is no zoom lens. He told me they just recently did inventory, and there was no zoom lens. Now I am really upset and went to the police. The police said it was a civil matter and I would have to take the Hoch Shop to small claims court to try and get compensated for my items that were sold and lost. Don't trust your things in the hands of the Bayfield Hock Shop. Learn from my experience people. If you do go, Really watch your invoice and keep them for your records in case you have to layover your items again.
Brought in my tablet to sell guy broke my sim tray on the tablet and advise he's not taking it cause it's broken. Worst practice these people do. Can't take ownership of there mistakes
They are pretty friendly, but it was not a great experience. They low-ball very hard on jewelry. Take your jewelry anywhere but here if you want a decent price. They sell watches, which they then declare are worthless. I bought two watches from them last year for $200. They wouldn't even make an offer on them today. So remember, if you are buying a watch there, get a low price because the other side of the store is going to say it's worth $0 if you try to sell it back. Zero. That's what watches are worth to them. The sticker in the jewelry department may say $200, but really, it's really worth $0 to them. They will put a sticker on something for $100 and then say it's worth nothing a year later. It's a pawn shop, so pretty standard. People pretend they are better than most. They aren't. I think they may be good if you want to sell broken DVDs and chewed up Barbi's and junk like that, but the market for nice things just isn't there, they'll be the first to admit it.
Awful experience at the hock shop on bayfield street this afternoon. Was there to make purchase and ended up leaving because 2 employees were harassing this poor young women who told them she had autism….. I will never be back. Cannot believe what I witnessed. Nasty behavior. Very unprofessional and upsetting.
This post is months overdue! How it slipped my mind I have no idea.. oh yea I do KIDS! ? I never actually been to the location prior to this experience and wow. I cannot express how much we were helped, cared for and respected. Going in there with 3 kids is not a breeze. The staff were so patient, kind and knowledgeable. Thanks to Dakotah we saved hundreds of dollars! I am blown away at the honesty and integrity at this Hock Shop. Wow thank you for your lovely service for a Mama who knows NOTHING about gaming or the products that go with it. Also I can’t explain the patience of the woman helping us with games, my kids kept changing their mind and took a while to choose, she was nothing but an angel to us and so patient. This may not be a regular review for a buy and sell shop but it is beyond deserved. From the bottom of my heart! Thank you!
Plenty of power tools in stock so you would think they would budge on price. Think again. Went straight over to another nearby second hand store and found a similar drill, and with higher amperage at the same price. They dropped the price $29.00 lower without hesitation.
