Saw their ad on Kijiji regarding pet rats and I inquired. They were quick to respond and drop off was easy peasy. My new pet rats are the absolute sweetest things ever and I can’t thank you enough! Would definitely recommend purchasing from here I hope to visit the shop directly soon as well.
they have cool and cheap stuff. its a little cramped in there for how many birds they have though. and i saw a betta fish in smaller containers than petsmart has though so u guys should probably fix that lol. im not dissing u guys just saying. a staff member was helpful though and they answered questions we asked and recommended us to places for animal vet services so that was nice
What a great place! I’ve followed them on instagram for awhile and just happened to be going through Barrie today. Small little shop, but had the best selection of bird accessories I’ve ever seen!! Definitely making a trip back. The employee was super helpful and knowledgeable about birds as I had a lot of questions about adding another bird to our family.
Awesome store! You could tell they really care about the animals there. Cesar was very knowledgeable and helped me find the ideal bird for me. They also had lots of toys to choose from to keep my bird happy. Strongly recommend. Thanks Pets Ave for my new friend Sunny!
My Sister & Dad went here looking to adopt a bird one day, but decided not to give them any business because of what happened. A staff member tried to take out a bird to show them despite my Sister noticing the bird was afraid and saying it was fine and that she didn’t have to take it out. This employee showed no respect for the bird and decided to forcibly take it out, then the bird proceeded to bite her HARD, leaving the bird covered in the staff member’s blood. Disturbing, disgusting, and no doubt traumatizing to the bird. She clearly knew very little about birds and didn’t respect the fact that the bird DID NOT want to be restrained by her. This happened a while back, but I was so shocked that a review didn’t even cross my mind. I just thought to leave a review now because I was reminded this place exists. It’s beyond disgusting and unheard of to leave a pet store because they forced an animal out of its cage and it ended up being covered in human blood. Be more thorough with your hiring process and make sure your employees don’t force animals to be held. Don’t just hire your family members who need a job but don’t care about animal care or safety. Do better. WAY better.

Great customer service. We have a fussy eater home. Our puppy needed a change of food and we didn’t know what to brand to try. The staff at Pets Ave provided a great recommendation and our puppy is now eating more. Thank You!!!!!
