I bought a 2015 ford fusion SE with 44,915 km on it. Drove it to Sudbury and it died one day after having it. Needless to say I was upset but after speaking to the owner on the phone (Slav) he said he would do whatever it takes to get it fixed...which he did and he paid for every little thing too. I was very grateful! The guy who sold me the car on the other hand (Bobby) I wasn't overly impressed with him. I asked him the number for the keyless entry on the door, he said to call ANY Ford dealership with the Vin# and they'd have it. NOT TRUE. I asked him what exactly was done on the car for the $800 safety. He didn't know. "I'm not a mechanic" he said. The remote start MADE NO SENSE and I asked him how to start it. He couldn't tell me about that either. "It wasn't factory installed" he said. I've owned THREE OTHER FORD FUSIONS. I've never seen a remote with buttons like that. They made no sense and there was no manual to explain it to me. Actually I take that back. There WAS a manual for the car, BUT IT WAS ALL IN FRENCH. FOR THE RECORD, Bobby was polite but I felt that once he sold me the car, he couldn't be bothered anymore. Classic used car dealership salesman tactics. The FOUR stars on the review were for the owner (Slav). He went above and beyond! Bobby not so much.
Bobby was a phenomenal salesman. I was in a pinch after a deer strike to get a new car. And Bobby wasn’t pushy, he treated me like a person and gave me all the information I needed to make an educated decision on the car I bought. Very quick, easy, and seamless process

I bought a 2017 Toyota Corolla here. Bobby is a great guy, very easy to talk to, and definitely knows his stuff. EDIT: I have now owned this car for approximately 2 months. When purchased it had an EVAP related engine code that I was assured would be fixed free of charge at the neighboring mechanic (Illicit Motorsports) that is owned and operated by the same owner as Smart Wheels. I have since driven up there all the way from Toronto three times for the same issue and going in a fourth this coming weekend. Not only have the mechanics not fixed the problem but on TWO of the three occasions I actually left with ADDITIONAL related codes. The mechanics do not answer text messages and when you call they decline two rings in and send to voicemail, meaning they see your call and CHOOSE to ignore you. Remaining stars are ONLY because of my experience with Bobby.
Hands down, definitely the best used car dealership in Barrie and beyond. Bobby is very approachable, friendly, and knowledgeable, would highly recommend

The 2 stars I'm giving are for Bobby in the sales department. Bobby is very approachable, friendly, and not pushy at all. I purchased a used vehicle from Smart Wheels a few years ago and had a good experience with the process and and result, which is the reason I went back to find another vehicle for my wife there. This experience was vastly different. After I test drove the vehicle, I noticed an engine rattle that I brought to Bobby's attention when I returned. He made note of it for the mechanic to look at and make any repairs necessary. He even ensured it was noted on the sales form. When my wife and I made the drive over from Peterborough, later on a Friday afternoon (as per Bobby's request) to pick up the vehicle, Bobby was off that day so we dealt with the owner, Slav. This man knew nothing of the repair request, nor did he make any effort to look my wife in the eye when speaking about the car that was being purchased for her. Within the hour of our drive back to Peterborough, not only was the noise still present, but a new noise had come up, even louder. This ended up being a heat shield (which is common and not a major repair) that had come loose. When we took the vehicle into our local mechanic, they informed us that someone had recently painted over the oil pan to cover up the fact that it was seeping and needed to be replaced. Now, Smart Wheels did cover the costs of these repairs, however, between the owner and the mechanics they use, this place cannot be trusted. Now that the weather is nicer, we've also discovered the air conditioning isn't working which was advertised as a selling feature with the car. We will not be using Smart Wheels ever again. Bobby, if you ever decide to head to another used car dealership to work, please let us know, and we'll connect with you again for your good customer service. As far as the owner and service department goes at Smart Wheels, it's time to make some changes to improve your reputation, or perhaps move into a different line of work.
