My only problem is with the pharmacy. Horrible customer service back there. This is my first google review ever - it was that bad. I will never go there again, and I just moved all my scripts to another pharmacy. Just horrible.
Today I dropped off my prescription at shoppers drug mart pharmacy in Young street Barrie. After 15 minutes of drop off the pharmacist called me to talk about dosage and when i tried to explain about what i talked with my Dentist that gave me that medication,she (Pankita Sardhara)started to raise her voice and talked to me loud and rude and told me you don't understand.This is the second time that I'm having unpleasant experience with this pharmacy and i won't go there anymore.
This was my second time shopping at this store. The first time I spent around $300 with the beauty manager and had a great experience. I returned this time during 20X the points and picked up items from several aisles mainly beauty products and toys for my son. Before purchasing I check to make sure products are sealed because I previously took items home only to find they had already been opened or used forcing me to come back for an exchange which is not easy when you have a child with special needs at home who needs lots of attention also have a part time job outside. While checking a skin care product seal I was suddenly approached by a very big man with dark skin and long braided hair. He confronted me and said you can't open a product before buyin, I calmly explained that I was just checking to see if the product is sealed and he responded I assure you there isn't an opened product in this store which is absolutely not true as I had already seen at least 20 products used or opened in the beauty section during my short stay in that store. But what made the situation deeply uncomfortable is that he wouldn't leave me, he kept following me wherever I go staying just inches behind me. I felt like I was being stalked. All of a sudden I remembered during my previous visit the same man had followed me all around the store, at the time I brushed it off but this time it was impossible to ignore. As someone who works for shoppers myself for many years we never harrass a client like that chasing them up from front to back of the store to see if they are going to touch or open the product as we witness everyday that all customers do open and check the products they are gonna buy, they obviously wanna know what they're buying!!!! I also frequently shop in different locations all around the city and never encountered this kinda behavior. It made me feel genuinely unsafe & embarrassed! This needs to be addressed seriously! I am going to send an email to the head office as well. This was the last time I ever set foot in this store. If you value yourself I strongly recommend you stay away from this location.
On hold for over 11 minutes to speak to the pharmacy team. Finally Amy answers, very rude and lack of customer service skills. Definitely would not recommend a pharmacy tech like her answering the phone so rudely and condescending throughout.
My boys and I occasionally come to this heavenly establishment to get our blood pressure checked, and when I tell you words can not articulate the exhilaration we feel, I mean it. For some unexplainable reason whenever I get my blood pressure checked at this particular store I feel more euphoric now than when my now-deceased wife gave birth to our triplets.
My husband and I are seniors and fairly new to Barrie. Despite the heavy traffic of people and periodic wait time at the pharmacy, we are more than pleased with our new drug store on Yonge. All staff and Pharmacists are pleasant, well informed and efficient. They are never understaffed, with plenty behind the pharmacy counter, all hard at work to keep up. Most importantly, the Pharmacists are always ready and willing to assist, in person and on the phone.
