Worst auto service center ever experienced, 1st of all the staff is not at all curteseous. For service of my car, they said they did wheel balancing, but the issue still persist after their work, seems nothing worked upon by them. Didn't allow me to see the issue they diagnosed neither showed me what fixes they did. They said customers are not allowed in the workplace due to insurance. When I asked to test the wheel balancing done by them, they said they don't do that. We have to take back our car just as it is without checking. For payment in cash, they dont provide receipts, and for card payment, they can provide a small tap machine receipt but not a detailed one. When I said give me 10 min, I will get $15 sort of cash from ATM, they didn't give me my car keys , said I can get my car key only if I pay in full they have no thrust on customers not sure how customers trust them and hand over their cars to them.. Also, Quote they provide are too high, you can for sure get better quotes, just shop around.. Won't recommend for their services..
Drove off the hwy... Get here... It's not even in business anymore. It's a gutted out warehouse front under construction. One of the workers laughed. Say's, "Well? It doesn't exist anymore!"... Smfh ((face palm)) Thanks Google!!
So I am putting a one star review right now only because I own auto repair shop in Barrie. For the last two months I have been receiving calls from a phone number at my shop that rings twice and no one is their. When I try to trace this number back I find two phone numbers for three different shops. One is always busy and the other will sometimes go to an answer machine the mentions the best mechanic in town. I believe this is someone that is trying to build his web design company. I really hope he never calls my shop because I don't know if I will hold back on how he has disrupted my company
We had a really excellent experience here! We were having windshield wiper issues in a rainstorm and called them just before they were supposed to close. The team offered to stay past close until we got there to help us out so that we didn't have to drive in the pouring rain with a bad wiper. They also ran an engine scan free of charge to ease our concerns about another issue. We were so lucky to have stumbled upon this kind and wonderful team. Thank you again!
IN THE END IT WASNT WORTH IT Spent $10,000 on repairs, only to have the owner tell me my boat is unfixable and that I should buy one of his used boats. Wish he would have told me before I spent all this money Had an appointment to drop off boat for repairs. After driving for an hour from my cottage, nobody was at the shop. Tried finding out what’s going on, and couldn’t get a hold of owner or his secretary/daughter. When I finally reached her, she was completely unapologetic, rude and defensive. Can’t recommend this shop
STEER CLEAR OF THESE CROOKS!!! I will attempt to describe my absolutely awful experience with Barrie Auto Marine as short as possible: I contacted them saying I would like my steering wheel centred, the extremely rude lady on the phone quoted me 60$ for an alignment that she said would fix my steering wheel issue - great. I arrive and they pull my car in. After waiting about 45 to an hour a man who I assume to be the mechanic comes out with two sheets of paper showing me the before and after and tells me that my steering wheel is straight. The cost ends up being $120, double what they quoted, and on my way home I realize that my steering wheel is instead of being off center two inches two left it is now two inches to the right. I call right away and she tells me to bring it back the next day to be looked at. The next day I call all day, no answer. I show up at the door and nobody is at the front desk after waiting a half hour. Call all day the next two business days with no answer. Finally I get an answer and I go back, only to have them say that the steering wheel being off centre is due to lack of air in one of the tires which even I know is not true. The car drives COMPLETELY STRAIGHT when I take my hands off the wheel, but the wheel is off centre two inches to the right. I mention that I googled the issue and that to fix it you need to adjust both tie rods with a wrench while the steering wheel is centred to pull the wheels back in place, and the rude front desk lady laughed in my face turned her back on me and walked inside. THE FIRST MECHANIC I CALL AFTER TELLS ME THAT I AM RIGHT AND THAT IS THE ACTUAL WAY TO ADJUST THE STEERING WHEEL AND ANYBODY WHO DOES ALIGNMENTS SHOULD KNOW THIS!! The mechanic told me it was a simple 10 minute job and he couldn’t believe that they would not offer to fix it. So if you want to pay $120 to be laughed at, lied to, ignored, and ripped off, BARRIE AUTO AND MARINE is the place for you!!
Very discreet honest and crooks. Called regarding an alignment and they quoted me $80 over the phone. Went in and he put car on alignment rack and showed me screen showing alifbalig is off. then he shows me a bit on me car and says it may not come loose... Bolt was not rusty and was black ie normal. No inidicaind Bolt would be an issue. He asked me if he should go ahead with alignment...I obviously said yes since I was quoted $80. Went waiting room and started talking to his daughter who works in the front, she then takes me to the back and he gives me a new price of $240+tax. I told him that was ridiculous since dealer was $130 and Barrie frame and alignment was around the same. He said it was additional cost for each adjustment. He / she did not believe me on the price and he told me to call them on speaker phone. Called Barrie frame and alignment and told them the car and they gave me a cost with all adjustments was $145 and additional cost for adjustment....I told lady on phone I was being charged bfor additional adjustment she told me to leave and that I was being ripped off. Worst part... They wouldn't even honour / negotiate a lower price....still charged me 80$ for alignment check. Never give these crooks your business! Stay away!
