Had a clicking sound in my steering column. Took it in to Mark to see what he thought. He told me it was an easy fix, but I had a bigger problem: my subframe was very weak and would probably break apart if I hit a big pothole. Mark explained something that I’ve never had a mechanic do before. He told me that he could do the work, but I’d be looking at about $3500 for the repair. He suggested that since the vehicle was 16 years old, I’d probably be better to invest that into a new vehicle. I donated the vehicle to Kidney Car and got a tax receipt for $3000 (which was exceptional for a car that old). I felt Mark’s advice was honest and straightforward. He could have made himself $3500, but, instead gave me some good advice.
Mark the owner is superb. Great 1st impressions, honest and reliable. I will be back for sure. Been in Barrie one week and needed out of province inspections. 1st class job and great advice also.
Overpriced. Took my place to auto shoppe for a second opinion and they charged me $300 less and still covered the cost of labor significantly plus explained in detailthe breakdown of the cost. Makes me wonder how many times I've overpayed at this place now. Despite what Morrison says, I've only lived in Barrie for 5 years and he's lying.
Took a CRV in for rear Brakes. Radar cruise and emergency brake warning lights came on after we drove it home. Didn't think the rear Brake service would cause this so we took it to a Honda dealership. Dealership told us that whoever had don't the rear Brakes didn't put the car into service mode and that we needed new rear brake calipers, 1850 dollars. Called Morrison and they denied that they caused the problem. Live and learn i guess.
