Can't speak for other areas but this is hands down the best shop to bring your Land Rovers in the Simcoe area. Despite working at an autogroup, Kevin is the only one that services my LR3 when things pop up beyond my or our shops capabilities. Had an appointment booked, drove an hour and a half with a friend following to take me back, sign on the door said closed Fridays. Left a message and he never called back. That's customer service
Will not be returning. First it was 4 tries to fix the parking brake. This time is was a simple U Joint that was so badly installed it is a wonder if did not kill someone. It appears as though the interest level in working on a Volvo 240 is about zero. My interest in poor quality repairs is even lower. The clips are not seated fully and the Zirk fitting was either not installed or was not tightened. Had the driveshaft fallen out the result could have been serious injury or death, and almost certainly the car would have been destroyed.
I learned Lakeside Automotive from Google and brought my car there. The engine light went on and off. Kevin found the issue quickly, fixed it and changed oil within about one hour. It is normal that the engine light may come back later as the reason is sometimes complex, but Kevin has tried the most effetive way first without bluffing. His price is also fair enough. I will be the loyal customer!
It’s been a few years and only Kevin is allowed to touch my Mercedes, BImmer and Volvo. Kevin is just amazing at his work. He never skips out on cheap parts only uses OEM Genuine parts, his recommendation never to skimp out! Forget the “Stealerships” other other cons out there.
