The service we always receive from Jay and his team at Northtown is next-level awesomeness! If you're looking for skilled mechanics who are also honest and efficient I highly recommend this company. We recently had to have some exhaust work done, and while Jay said he could fix it, he recommended us to a garage that specifically does exhaust work which saved us about $500. On another occasion, I was sitting in their reception area waiting for our vehicle when another customer came in to pick up his vehicle. The customer looked over his bill and asked Jay why he wasn't charged for an oil change. Jay told him that upon inspection it was determined that an oil change wasn't necessary, saving the customer the cost of this. If you're looking for thorough mechanics that are highly capable, knowledgeable, trustworthy and fair, then this is the garage for you! Was told by a trusted neighbor that this place has excellent reviews and comes highly recommended. I moved to Barrie in 2019 and hadn't found a shop I really liked yet. I just bought a used vehicle and needed a safety done so decided to bring it to the team at Northtown Autopro. I couldn't be happier. Very professional and friendly service, I called on Friday and was booked in for Monday morning. Dropped the car at 9am and picked it up at 11am. They did the safety and found "nothing" else to be done, I was out the door with my safety for $160. I knew my vehicle was in good shape but expected them to make me do something..Nope "Nothing needs to be done"...These guys don't know me from Adam and still did me solid. I always used to go to the dealership for the regular maintenance of my car. It was like being robbed at broad daylight ($800+ for repair of rear brakes). When I decided to buy out my car. I went to North Town for a maintenance and safety pre-inspection. I met Jay and explained my situation. Just like a good neighbor, he did the pre-inspection free of charge and offered to do the safety cert but half the cost compared to the dealership. I bought out my car without any issues and managed to save a fair amount of cost thanks to Jay and NAPA Autopro North Town.
