Worst experience ever, don't ever bring nice rims to this place. I had perfect 20" black audi rims I wanted tires mounted they mauled them. Scraped and thrashed my rims brutally that I need to re paint them black. I made a deal to pay cash worst decision I've ever done. My tire install turned into a full rim powder coat cost to fix his carelessness. Worst tire shop in barrie hands down and wrapped my wheels in plastic so I didn't notice until I opened them later. Hope karma eats this shop alive, this happened summer of 2024. I've added what they looked like before install and one rim that they ruined the most. The others all had rim rash.
I had a very good experience with Pro Tech Tire & Auto! I travelled all the way from Markham to Barrie to visit a Lavender farm there, unfortunately I had a leaking tire, while I was so panicking and helpless, Pro Tech was the only auto shop could help and being so honest with professional service! So grateful for their friendly and fast service, they are my hero! My husband works in an auto shop in Markham himself, he is very happy with Pro Tech’s work when I came home with the repaired tire, he can tell how professional they are.

I had a tire puncture in the area and needed a repair as soon as possible. After struggling to find a good, professional and honest tire/auto shop, Pro-Tech Tire and Auto was able to help. One of the workers, Nicole, was kind and compassionate over the phone and was able to help me in the situation. They were willing to inspect my car free of charge and later helped fix it within 30 minutes. The patching was done perfectly and I had no problems even after driving 92km. This is one of the best and most trustworthy shops in the area.

Being from Penetanguishene and stranded in Barrie with car problems. I pulled in with my Honda civic after the snow had pulled my shield down under my car. No questions asked, they kindly took my car into the bay and 20 min later they had me back on the road. I couldn't be more grateful for the fast and friendly service. Thank you for saving me!
This shop has now attempted to scam both my brother and I. Went In during November of last year to have my clutch hydraulic system flushed and walked out with an estimate of approx. $1700 claiming my entire clutch assembly was broken and the car would last a week at most. Drove it for another 6 months before selling in perfectly drivable condition. My brother went in this week for a safety Inspection where he was quoted $2000 in repairs to pass safety. While In the shop for the day a brake line mysteriously punctured as well so we had to get his car towed to another shop where he was quoted less than $1000 in repairs safety included. Do not go to these guys unless you enjoy being lied to. NOTE: the owners response is laughable as I did not say in my review I “referred” or “sent” my brother there. He went while I was out of town. I can assure the folks at pro tech their shop is the last I’d recommend. 2002 civic ex is the one you tried to scam for the safety & my 2007 civic ex was brought in under my fathers name, Andrew.
