I had originally given this hotel 5 stars but after staying the night I dealt with way too much miscommunication on their end. I had originally called ahead to ask if I could book and stay here without a credit card and the guy at the front desk told me yes so I booked my stay with them. The night before my stay at around 10:30pm they called me to tell me I NEED a credit card by noon the next day or theyll be cancelling my booking. I do not own a credit card which is why I SPECIFICALLY made sure I could stay here without one. After our phone conversation I called some family and they called to give their card info under my booking so I figured everything was perfect. That wasnt the case. When I showed up for my stay, they told me I had not paid yet and there was no card on file but I know 100% there was one because my mother is the one who called to give her card info and pay for my booking so once again, I had to deal with miscommunication. I had to pay a 100$ deposit which I was fine with from the beginning (which I dont understand why they couldnt tell me that over the phone the night beforehand). So I paid for my stay and then the lady at the front desk said to come back in a half hour since my room wasnt ready yet. When I returned 30 mins later, the lady at the front desk (THE ONLY HELPFUL PERSON THERE) said We just need a credit card to pay for your stay at this point I had already paid AND gave a deposit. The lady that I had paid with earlier (I believe her name was Yasmine) decided to not let the new front desk girl know that I had paid and would be returning so this new front desk girl had no idea and could not find my paperwork with my receipt and then she finally found it and called housekeeping to see if my room was ready and it was NOT. Although the last front desk clerk we dealt with was wonderful and got our room ready quickly, Im not sure what her name was but I think she might of been a manager. All in all, I would NOT recommend this hotel as there is way too much miscommunication with the staff.
Pros: front desk staff and cleaning staff were very nice and responsive. Bed was comfortable, room was clean.Cons: the hallway smells like cigarette smoke masked with overpowering air freshener. Half the exercise equipment is broken, and there are no weights.Of note: the sheets and bedding had hairs on them and were worn and covered with piles. They may have been washed (I couldn't tell) but they definitely were not bleached. On the plus side when I called to ask for new bedding they were promptly changed.
The staff was very friendly. We had a work meeting at this location and were pleased with the promptness of service. My guestroom did have a musty smell and it was tough to regulate the temperature.
When reserving the room I specified that it was for 4 adults and that we required a roll away bed. Upon checking in we were informed that the room was too small so the roll away bed was not an option. I feel we should have been notified before checking in. When we got into our room we discovered there were only enough towels for 3 people not the 4 we had reserved for. The breakfast buffet the next morning was supposed to be a mix of hot and cold foods. The pancakes and eggs were cold. Very disappointing. The rooms themselves were clean but there were stains on the carpet. The rates were decent, checking in and out was very quick and efficient.
I have no major complaints. There were 4 adults in the room. It was clean. Beds were comfy. We arrived later at night so didn't take advantage of the amenities. If I had any complaints it would be we didn't get the cot we asked for, although there was plenty of space for it in the room. Also, we were only given 3 towels for 4 adults. My sister and nephew had the complimentary breakfast and both said they were disappointed by the choices and that the food was lukewarm.Edit: The response from the hotel seemed to glance over the facts that we didn't get the cot we asked for, the breakfast was mediocre at best and there were only 3 towels for 4 adults. Also, they couldn't be bothered to spell my name correctly in their response either. It may be a small detail, but considering my name is right on the post, perhaps it's the attention to detail that is lacking here .
