Smoke odor lowered the rating.2nd Comfort Inn in 2 nights that stinks like you are in an ash tray. When they say smoke free, they mean you don't pay extra for the smell. You can smell it when you walk in, it is a little worse in the halls, the worst in the stairs. The room was not as bad, but it still had a lingering smoke odor. I was told by the front desk that it has been smoke free for 3 years. If so, they need to try changing carpets, they are tired looking anyway. Staff are great, breakfast was good, eggs, sausages, muffins, etc, location was great. Would have been a 4 star except for the smoke odors.
Rooms are basic but clean. Unfortunately unlike most Comfort Inns that did complete renovations in 2017 this property did it on the cheap. Their old smoking rooms still have a smell that a coat of paint and new wallpaper doesn't remove. The bathtub was painted and is now chipped showing the old stained tub beneath.The most annoying part of my 3 day stay was the inadequate wifi. Forget about trying to use it in the evening. The longest I could stay connected was 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Daytime was somewhat better but still not good. The best help given by the front desk was restart your phone. Well that didn't make any difference.The only plus is that they are pet friendly with patio doors.
Overall our stay was good the room was clean bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful, we found the breakfast was good but on our second morning the experience was soured a little by two cleaners who came into the dining room at five to nine and took the container that holds the waffle batter out of the machine just as a young couple who had been getting coffee came over to make a waffle, the workers then filled the toaster with bread for themselves so the couple just grabbed a muffin each and looking upset took their meager breakfast to their room it was still before nine am, one of the workers then turned some of the lights off saying loudly ( we don't want anyone else coming in ) we left feeling like we were in the way.We would stay again.
Conveniently located off the hwy. Staff very friendly and when talking to a few they are long term employees and enjoy working with one another and the owner. Coffee is always on and a pitcher of iced lemon water is available. The rooms have microwave, fridge which are pretty standard and 2 complimentary bottles of water. On the main floor rooms you can park outside your room for easy loading and unloading suitcases. I'd stay there again. Nice breakfast area to eat your complimentary breakfast.
This hotel definitely looked much nicer inside than outside. Staff was very helpful. I had boxed with gentle sound equipment and I've asked to change my room to forest floor due to that issue. They've fixed that in couple minutes. Overall looks decent, there is parking outside the hotel. I had parking right in front of my room. I give 4 stars only for a reason that there is no lift to second floor in this hotel. To me that part not very good. Otherwise I think this deserves 4 stars.
