On my house hunting trip for my upcoming posting to CFB Borden. Looking for something a little different close to downtown. Walked in and asked if there was anything available and the lady looked me over, made some pretence of glancing at a paper and said no. Sorry to have interrupted you and making you pull your EarPods out of you ears for all of 10 seconds but Im on the governments dime. Guess Ill give my money to someone else.

I have stayed at this inn many times over the years. I live in Montreal, but the company I work for is based in Barrie.Yes, there are a few quirks, but the overall experience is far beyond what you would ever get staying at "hotel chain". Example, see the morning fog over Kempenfelt bay from your bed as you wake up, or an evening glass of wine from the from the porch, again over looking the water. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the staff are very proffessional. I really enjoy my stays here!

A very nice place to stay. Very clean, very nice feeling. A really beautiful old building. A great stay for the price. I would definitely go back to this place. Great location too.
