Our cat Olive has been with us for just over ten years and this has been the place that’s looked after her her whole life with checkups, shots, etc. After a long illness we had to make the difficult decision today to send her off and it’s hard to articulate how wonderful the staff were during our time together. When she became ill, from the initial testing and advice to her final moments they were incredibly kind and compassionate. Thank you everyone for everything you’ve done for us.
First vet visit with my 9year old kitty. Awaiting results but must say the team was very caring and I trust them whole heartily. They were transparent about the costs and were very respectful handling my little guy. Hoping for the best but the service was excellent.
The people here were very nice and comforting my pup Hailey she was very old and we had brought her in for swelling in her face, this office had told us it was most likely she had eaten a bee or a bee had stung her mouth, they prescribed us some medicine for her that seemed to work for only some time but wouldnt work after about a week, we went 2 or 3 more times for them to say the same thing until we took her to a different clinic and she had cancer I do not recommend if something serious is happening to your pets
doctors were good. However, I was provided with 120 days of medication. which only turned out to be 60 days' worth. When I called to investigate, they informed me I had paid the proper price. If that is in fact the case you charge 3 times as much as your competitors, or I overpaid, and you didn't fix it. either option is bad.
My wife and I moved to Barrie just over a year ago and we wanted to find a vet that was closer to home. I went and got a quote from this place to get my puppy neutered and the price was $100 cheaper than what my previous vet had quoted. We went ahead with the procedure and everything turned out great. The staff that I have dealt with so far have been great so far as well. I like the fact that they have a special candle that they light when an animal is passing to let people know to be respectful.
The staff here are incredible. I cannot even attempt to express how much gratitude I have towards them. If youre looking for a place to go where the vet and ALL of the support staff truly go above and beyond to treat your animal as if it were their own - please go here! They truly are all so caring and compassionate. I have had pets my entire life and have a lot of experience with different vets as Ive moved around a lot. Nobody has ever come close to even slightly comparing to these amazing human beings that are employed at the animal hospital of east Barrie. Thank you, thank you, thank you! A billion thank yous wouldnt be enough for everything they have done.
I have recently moved to Barrie to attend college.I brought my senior cat " Ginger "to this vet clinic for vomiting.I was very happy with the visit. All the staff that I met were very caring and listened well.Dr Sharma kindly understood the fact that I am a student and had limited money. He sent medications to be given at home and my girl recovered very well.I am so thankful for their help.
Awesome care. Very professional people and very helpful.
I will never bring my dog here again. I explained the symptoms , my dogs eyes rolling back, he was shaking, very lethargic, and they diagnosed him with an eye infection. I paid $140 for the visit. I drove 2 hours home only to have my dog start to convulse and become unresponsive. I called the vet back immediately and they said they didn't have time to see him even though it was life threatening and to take him elsewhere. In my opinion the entire visit to the animal hospital the vet didn't listen to me or the symptoms I was describing that my dog had. I took him to Huronia Veterinary Clinic and thank goodness for their amazing team of people who truly care. The vet their said there was no sign of any eye infection AT ALL, and he had actually eaten a poisonous plant. They spent hours helping it clear my dogs system and making sure no permanent damage was caused. I later emailed the East Barrie Vet requesting to be refunded as their misdiagnosis almost killed my dog, and i had to pay $140 for medication he doesn't need, and an examination in which they completely missed his condition. They refused. I tried to tell them I needed a refund as I had to spend money on actually fixing what was wrong with him instead of an infection that wasn't even there, I wouldn't have asked for the refund if they had taken us in right away and tried to fix their mistake, but I believe they couldn't have cared less about my dog. Will not recommend and would never return.
